MaRBEL 2026 – Ghent September 18

On September 18, 2026, the Belgian MRI research community will come together in the unique setting of the Botanical Garden of Ghent University to connect, exchange ideas, and spark new collaborations across disciplines.
Expect a dynamic day with research pitches, interactive discussions, and inspiring sessions showcasing MRI research in Belgium.

Price: 25 euro, including lunch and coffee breaks
Bachelor & Master Students don’t have to pay the entrance fee and only have to register, please mail the evidence of your enrolment to nina.dolfen@ugent.be along with the registration confirmation.

Abstract Submission
Ready to show your work to your Belgian MR Research colleagues? Submit now your abstract for MaRBEL 2026. Two types of abstracts are accepted:
- Abstract with results: classic conference abstract presenting the results from a research study.
- Abstract with protocol or educational: abstracts presenting an ongoing or planned, but clearly defined project, educational or systematic review, non-standard projects including science communication.
Timeline
- Monday 18 May – Opening abstract submission
- Friday 31 July – Abstract submission closed
- 21-28 August – Acceptance notification
